chiang mai, chiang rai, laos, myanmar

sawadikap...
went to chiang mai, thailand in july 2007...with hubby, dania and haziq...haziq baru setahun, dania 3 tahun...stayed for 6 days and 5 nights at de naga hotel, chiang mai...it's a boutique hotel...very nice interior and quite cheap too...kalau tak silap dalam rm280 per night or 2800baht per night...i love the thai decor...pool ada jacuzzi...location betul-betul tengah-tengah town chiang mai, sebelah the famous chiang mai nite market and opposite tai pai gate (not sure of the spelling)...seven eleven memang banyak kat situ...so no worries about getting hungry in the middle of the night...
makan memang agak susah kat chiang mai...ada satu komuniti islam dekat-dekat situ tapi they served the same food...tapi kira orait la...asalkan halal...tiap-tiap petang kami akan pi shopping kat bazaar depa...rambang mata tapi kadang-kadang rasa macam dok kat padang besar atau bukit kayu hitam...yang lainnya, depa ada jual ulat sutera goreng...hubby and haziq indulged la ulat goreng tu...depa kata rasa macam french fries mc donald...whatever la!!!!...
travelling kat sana dengan tuk tuk...kami sewa khas tuk tuk selama kami ada kat sana dengan mr jumnus...muslim...nice person...time semayang, dia mesti berenti semayang...dia bawak kami pi thai silk village which I rasa macam nak kaut semua silk yang ada...and not forgetting chiang mai elephant farm...kami semua naik gajah...haziq ended up tertidoq atas gajah...we fed the elephants...satu keistimewaan orang-orang chiang mai, depa very gentle and polite...they love kids...kat elephant farm tu, lelaki-lelaki yang jaga gajah tu muka pecah rumah habis-habisan, tatoo penuh badan tapi bila jumpa budak-budak, they were very gentle and loving...
pastu kami travel to chiang rai...4 hours drive...kami sewa van siap dgn driver dan pemandu pelancong...costs us about rm400 plus...we went to visit the hill tribes, long neck women, wat-wat siam and terus ke laos dan myanmar...dari chiang rai ke laos, kami naik bot menyusuri Mekong River...haziq dengan dania memang excited habis...adventurous jugak trip ni...we stopped dekat perkampungan laos which we can see they sell lots of snake wine...they're indeed very friendly...pastu kami naik van lagi terus ke myanmar...myanmar merepek sikit la...nothing interesting...banyak beggers and penyeluk saku...malam baru balik chiang mai...memang letih tapi it was fun...
apa lagi ha???...lupa la...dah berapa tahun tu...ha!...kami pi set filem Rambo IV (Rambo yang paling last tu)...dekat chiang mai jugak...tempat tu memang terasa macam kita berada di zaman tentera vietkong (silap negara la plak)...so everytime tengok filem rambo IV, mesti kami kata, we've been there, we've touch that thing, we've sit on that chair...hehehehe...
ok la, rasanya banyak lagi crita tapi ingat-ingat lupa la...for those who wishes to visit chiang mai, make sure you are there during weekends because the famous chiang mai night market only available during weekends...and lots of interesting stuff you can find there...
orait, ciao!!!!! sorry, no pics because they're all in hubby's lappy...

  1. i think people there yang muka pecah rumah mmg baik2 kot, one time aku kat BKK, konon2 nak gamble dok hotel mana2, almost all hotels was full..masa tu kitorang all girls..tapi mamat muka pecah rumah and tatoo sgala laa yang tolong. On the way dia drive us to search for a place to stay, tgh2 jem, ada makcik tua jual bunga2..dia beli, mmg dlm hati ada taman...and i think he is kind of religious sbb kat dalam kereta dia banyak conteng2 tulisan budha(kot!) hihiihi..
