TIAMO - for ballerina flats lovers

I am not a shoes lover but since I walked in Tiamo's at The Gardens Mid Valley, it was love at the first sight...Mak oooiiiii!!!!...Cute-cute nya flats kat sini...Dania lagi lah, sampai takmau keluaq langsung dari kedai...Everything is in pink...Rasa macam dok dalam lollipop bila masuk kedai Tiamo ni...Flats are comfortable to wear especially yang kaki-kaki shopping tu...Good for our backbones too...

The flats are designed in Korea...Oh ya!!! Tiamo only sells ballerina flats...No boots, no high heels, no sneakers...Just ballerina flats...Peep-toe flats pun ada...Best of all, ada 'mother and daughter' flats...Meaning, kasut yang sepadan untuk mama dan anak pompuan...Ala-ala Katie Holmes dengan Suri gitu...Just look at the pic above, cute aren't they???...Ni baru sikit, ada banyak lagi designs kat Tiamo...Harga???...Ala, lebih kurang Charles and Keith...RM119 ke atas but I am sure not more than RM300...Kasut budak pompuan dalam RM119...

So kalau nak bergaya macam Katie Holmes dan Suri, spend lah duit anda di Tiamo...Kat 1st floor The Gardens Mall Midvalley...Kat Sunway Pyramid pun ada dah...

Marina Bay Sands @ Singapore

Marina Bay Sands Singapore; the latest attraction in Singapore...Consists of 3 Towers and a skypark...It's a hotel+casino+shopping arcades+luxurious 5 stars restaurants+skypark (you can have the best view of Singapore from up here)...The skypark is at the 57th floor...Gambar kat atas adalah the infinty pool and OPEN TO HOTEL GUESTS ONLY...so kalau nak merasa berendam dalam infinity pool tu, you have to be a hotel guest which will costs you RM1000++ per night (minimum)...so since I am not the hotel guest, boleh intai saja those rich people having fun at the infinity pool...

Well, not a hotel guest but jadi skypark guest pun jadi laaaa...To go up the skypark, harga tiket adalah SD20 untuk adults and SD14 untuk children...Tak mahal sangat tapi kalau bawak satu kampung, senget gak la...Tiket boleh beli kat lobby hotel or casino...Open everyday from 10am-10pm...Lagi best kalau naik skypark tu waktu malam sebab view dia cantik dengan lampu-lampu city of Singapore plus tak panas...To go up the skypark, you have to go there early, meaning if you want to be at the skypark at 8pm, leave your hotel at 6pm...Why???...Because traffic nak masuk Marina Bay Sands is MASSIVE...Masa kami pi sana, hubby decided to get a Valet Parking sebab kalau nak parking dekat carpark dia, memang kena cari parking dekat sejam la jawabnya dan kena jalan jauh sangat...Costs of the Valet Parking, hhhmmmm, don't ask...Ada restaurants kat atas tu tapi kena BOOK IN ADVANCED...Memang selalu fully booked especially during the weekends or any special occasions...Tapi perlu diingatkan, nak makan kat restaurants memang mahal...Buffet will costs you minimum SD100 per head and ada restaurants yang NO CHILDREN ALLOWED policy...hhhmmmm, tak best langsung kalau ada polisi macam ni...

Here are some pics of our wonderful moments up on the Marina Bay Sands Skypark...

Makansutra @ Singapore (Part 1)

Singapore; I am sure most of you must have been to Singapore...There are so many fun and interesting spots to visit when you are in Singapore...Universal Studio, Sentosa Island, HRC Singapore etc....banyak sangat nak crita...Saya takmau crita tentang Universal Studio or Sentosa Island or Orchard Road (oooooooohhhhh) sebab dah ramai sangat orang crita pasai tempat-tempat ni...Nak crita pasai tempat-tempat yang some people hardly know or don't know about it...cer citer, cer citer...

Nak citer pasai Makansutra...It's a foodcourt concept except that the hawkers stalls are owned by one person (a famous chef - KF Seetoh)...ala, yang selalu keluaq dalam AFC channel tu...tengok gambar di atas...hehehehe...dia ambik hawkers stalls yang sedap-sedap kat Singapore and gathered them to become Makansutra...The location; Gluttons Bay @ Esplanade...Business hour starts at 5pm onwards until late, I think...Best tempat ni sebab dari tempat makan boleh nampak Marina Bay Sands, Fullerton Hotel, Merlion...

To be honest, halal food memang kurang kat Makansutra...ada lebih kurang 3-4 stalls saja yang jual halal food...for my non-muslim friends, you should try eating here...my favourite, fried oyster egg (halal ler)...yang halal, ada satay, mee udang Singapore style, drinks, ice kacang and lai chee kang...mostly, the stalls serve Chinese Food...

Lepas makan, boleh jalan-jalan kat Esplanade...pictures below are the views from Makansutra...nice eh?...

Koay Teow Th'ng - Penang Comfort Food

My first taste of Koay Teow Th'ng was during my life as student in USM, Penang...The only cafe that served Koay Teow Th'ng in USM was in Cafe Desasiswa Bakti...Memang famous lah!!...Kena beratur panjang kalau nak makan...Th'ng means soup in Chinese so Koay Teow Th'ng is a Chinese food...

Untuk kawan-kawan USM yang rindu koay teow th'ng Bakti and for those who wants to try, here's the recipe...Learned it from my mother-in-law and my hubby...Senang sangat nak masak...

Bahan-bahan (Untuk 4 orang makan)
1. Koay Teow /Mee/Bihun
2. 20 ulas bawang putih or garlic. Lots of them. Koay teow th'ng memang kena rasa bawang putih
3. Gula batu or rock sugar. Not coarse sugar
4. 4 sudu besar chicken stock
5. Tulang ayam
6. Isi ayam
7. Udang dibuang kulit dan direbus. Kulit udang direbus untuk dapatkan stok udang.
8. Taugeh dicelur
9. Daun bawang or spring onion
10. Sawi dicelur
11. Bawang goreng
12. 3 sudu besar cili boh
13. 2 sudu besar air asam jawa
14. 1 sudu besar gula
15. Fish ball direbus.
16. Serbuk lada putih

Cara memasak
- Untuk supnya, tumis bawang putih yang telah dicincang halus. Masukkan air. Agak-agak 5 cawan.
- Masukkan tulang ayam, isi ayam, stok udang dan stok ayam.
- Masukkan gula batu dan garam secukup rasa.
- Rasa sup. Sup sepatutnya rasa bawang putih dan agak manis disebabkan gula batu yang kita masukkan tadi. Kalau rasa macam yang disebutkan tadi, kira orait la tu!
- OK, untuk sambalnya, tumis cili boh sampai naik minyak. Masukkan air asam jawa dan gula. Siap sambal.
- Untuk rencah-rencahnya; udang, fish ball, sawi, taugeh, daun bawang, bawang goreng dan isi ayam (yang direbus bersama sup tadi lalu dicarik-carikkan). Serbuk lada putih jangan dilupa. Sebagai pelengkap rasa.

SIAP!!!!!

Arabian Oud - my favourite perfume boutique

Perfumes; I can't live without 'em...Won't go out without 'em...I used to smell Tresor by Lancome, Contradiction by CK, Green Apple by CK, Pleasure by Estee, Deseo Forever by JLo dan hhhmmmm tak ingat dah...Setiap kali nak beli perfume, mesti pi kaunter-kaunter perfumes kat malls...

Then one day, I need a new smell...Belek punya belek magazine, ada satu perfume baru dari Aigner...Tak ingat dah nama apa...So angkut my family to KLCC to buy this Aigner...Sebelum pi kaunter perfume kat Isetan KLCC, jalan-jalan dulu...Lalu kat satu kedai ni kat Tingkat 3 KLCC...mak oooiiii!!!!...Wanginya kedai ni...Tengok nama kedai - Arabian Oud...it's an arabic perfume boutique...Hubby suruh masuk sebab dah kata nak beli perfume...Mula-mula reluctant gak sebab takut perfume depa bau macam minyak atar...Tapi, why not???...Just give it a try...I mintak tolong salesgirl boutique tu pilih perfume yang sesuai for me...Suka yang bau manis macam cinnamon, mix bau rose, mix bau vanilla...Terus dia suggested 'Al-Hamra'...It's an oil blend, without alcohol so memang tahan lama...Bau dia memang macam yang I suka - bau manis...

Tapi disebabkan dah biasa dengan perfume 'orang putih' ni, rasa ragu-ragu nak beli Al-Hamra...bukan apa, takut bila bercampur dengan bau original badan kita dengan peluh, takut jadi bau minyak atar...So I said to the salesgirl, I'll come later sebab nak pi try Aigner baru tu dulu...So I did...Tried Aigner, hhhmmmm tak wangi lah...Tried CK, tak wangi jugak...I tried and tried almost every latest perfume yang ada kat kaunter Isetan tu...Apsal semua tak wangi ha????...I know, sebab I dah jatuh cinta dengan AL-HAMRA...yesssss!!!!!

So, went back to Arabian Oud and bought Al-Hamra...25ml for RM260...Tapi memang worth it sebab so far, nobody smells like me, yet...hehehehehehe...And orang yang paling 'terangsang' (oooppppsssss) dengan my smell now is no other than my hubby...

So for those who's still searching for something different (perfume), pergi kat Tingkat 3 KLCC kat Arabian Oud...Dari jauh boleh bau kayu-kayuan dan aromaterapi...Harga perfumes kat sini ranging between RM100 (with alcohol)-RM3000 (without alcohol, 30ml)...Pilih lah yang mana sesuai dengan citarasa anda dan bau semulajadi badan anda...Trust me, anda akan berbau unik...
