Kota Kinabalu - Day 3

so peaceful and serene

Clear water

Day 3 - A beautiful and bright day in KK...A perfect day for fun in the sun...Hari ni kami gerak ke Tunku Abdul Rahman Marines Park...It's my wish to have 'a blue sky holiday'...Tunku Abdul Rahman Marines Park consists of Pulau Gaya, Pulau Mamuntik, Pulau Sapi and Pulau Manukan...For those who are planning to go there, there are multiple tour packages for you to choose...Scuba diving, BBQ at the beach, banana boat etc....Disebabkan kami dok kat Sutera Harbour, ada tourists agent kat lobby hotel ni yang menawarkan pelbagai package untuk lawatan ke pulau-pulau tersebut...We chose to visit Pulau Sapi and Pulau Manukan in one day...Kalau nak pi keempat-empat pulau tu, kena 2 hari, baru puas...kami ambik package BBQ by the beach...It costs us around RM650 for 4 person, all in - speed boat ride from hotel to both islands and BBQ lunch buffet by the beach...

Sampai kat Pulau Manukan, the clear water took my breath away...Finally I got to enjoy my 'bluesky holiday'...We spent around 3 hours in Manukan Island...Swimming, picnic, relaxing and scuba diving...

Around 1pm, the boat took us to Pulau Sapi...Lagi cantik kat sini...Kat sini, we enjoyed our lunch BBQ by the beach...Lepas tu sambung aktiviti swimming and scuba diving...I got to try scuba diving selepas dipujuk oleh hubby...Hhhhmmmm, memang tak nyesal try scuba diving...Macam dok dalam akuarium...Memang cantik sangat-sangat...So many kind of fishes, colorful corals...Relax sehabih-habihnya kat sana, perut pun kenyang...At 6, we headed back to our hotel with the boat...

Day 4/last day - nothing much to do...Just relaxing by the pool and seafood feast...

Kota Kinabalu - Day 2

2nd Day - Kinabalu Park...We planned to go to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marines Park but since it was a cloudy day, we had to cancel the trip...So we headed to Kinabalu Park on our 2nd day in KK with our Perodua Viva...Hahahahaha...Tak percaya ka??...The journey from KK took about 2 hours...Dekat saja sebenaqnya tapi kat sana takdak highway and the roads are winding, lama la jadinya perjalanan tu...Tapi the view simply breathtaking...Just look at the pictures below...

on a fine day, we should see the peak from here

It was drizzling and cloudy so we were quite dissapointed sebab tak boleh nampak Gunung Kinabalu dari jauh...According to my hubby, if the weather is bright, we can actually see the peak of Gunung Kinabalu from KK itself...Even from hubby's meeting room kat KK boleh nampak Gunung Kinabalu...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Kinabalu

We reached there at around noon...But it was so cold (maybe around 23 degree celcius)...Siap berkabus lagi...Jenuh teran jugak la Viva ni...Ni baru kat kaki bukit...Teringin gak nak daki Gunung Kinabalu but since we have our kids here, terpaksa la lupakan hasrat yang terpendam tu...We can see so many types of flora and fauna...So just imagine what else can we discover if we were able to climb the mountain...

After about 2 hours spending time here, we headed to Kundasang...About 15 minutes from Kinabalu Park...This place was suggested by my aunty who went there with her family 2 years back...Tempat ni sapa yang taktau, taktau la sebab agak terpencil...Dan kena mendaki bukit dengan our Viva...Aaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!...The view was again-so splendid!!!!...Macam kat New Zealand...Kat sini ada ladang ternakan lembu...Boleh minum susu fresh...Sejuuuukkkkkkkk sangat kat sini...

At around 4pm, we went back to KK...So what's for dinner????...SEAFOOD lagi!!!!!!...After solat Maghrib, we went to Pasar Malam KK...Just beside Filipino Market...Jangan expect la ayam percik ka, murtabak ka, sup gearbox ka, roti john ka...Kat sini, everything is SEAFOOD!!!!!!!!!...My favourite - KERABU RUMPAI LAUT or SEAWEED SALAD...And pasar basah kat sini, sorry la kalau nak cari ikan termenung/kembung...Kat sini, ikan-ikan semua sebesar Haziq...Hahahahahaaha!!!!!!...Tengok gambaq saja lah...

rumpai laut untuk buat kerabu

Dah kenyang, balik hotel...Lepak kat lounge sambil dengar band nyanyi lagu Justin Bieber...What la weyyyy!!!!!...Nasib baik ada Tenom Coffee...But my favourite is still Luwak Coffee...

3rd day, to be continued...

Kota Kinabalu - Day 1

Kota Kinabalu sunset

View from Sutera Harbour Resort
Sabah, The Land Below The Wind...We went to Kota Kinabalu for a holiday in early June 2011...Sebelum decided nak holiday di KK, punya la dok surfed internet cari tempat-tempat yang menarik kat Asia...Hubby tak suka Bali...Nak pi Hanoi, Vietnam, time tu panas dik-dik...Then my hubby suggested,"why not we go to Kota Kinabalu? It's a nice place" since he's been there a few times due to his line of work...So without hesitation, kami terus booked flight dengan Air Asia together-gether dengan hotel skali...All inclusive Flight+Hotel...Kami ambik Sutera Harbour Resort which according to hubby, a very nice resort in KK...Mahal skit packagenya tapi trust me, it's worth it...

Flight ambik masa lebih kurang 2jam30minit...Sampai-sampai airport KK, terus ambik kereta sewa...For those yang bercadang nak pi KK, sewa lah kereta sebab kat sana teksi susah dapat dan mahal...Takyah la sewa BMW ka Audi ka...Sewa Viva dah la...Boleh jugak ronda-ronda bandar KK kalau ada kereta sendiri...Settled dengan kereta sewa, we went directly to Sutera Harbour Resort to check-in...WOW was all I can say!!!!...Memang best la hotel ni...Our room was facing the sea...Lagi la best!!!...

1st day in KK tak pi mana-mana pun...Relax tepi pool and ronda-ronda KK town...And I was starting to love KK so much...I even said to hubby,"kalau you kena transfer keja KK, I will follow you tanpa cakap banyak"...KK is not a shopping heaven macam KL...Lebih kurang Penang la...Tapi yang bestnya; the PEARLS!!!!!...We are talking about real and genuine pearl here...Ada yang dijual loose dan ada yang dah siap dikarang rantai, gelang, brooch etc...For me, since I love pearls so much, borong la apa lagi...And suprisingly, tak mahal pun...Seutas rantai pearl yang siap dikarang dengan cantik dan disulam dengan kristal Swaroski, baru berharga RM400...Kalau kat KLCC, mau ribu-riban...Then of course, I bought some for my family...Apart from the pearls, KK is a souvenir heaven...So many things to buy...

Seafood in KK - masyaAllah...Macam-macam jenis seafood ada kat sini...Yang tak pernah nampak sepanjang kehidupan ini pun ada...Cewahhh!!!...And they are FRESH...A'ha, fresh baby...Lobsters, crabs, soft shell crabs, fishes, prawns (big, big ones), seaweeds etc...You just name it, darling...Semua ada kat KK...My hubby and I memang hantu seafood...So it's heaven la, apa lagi...Our dinner was at Ocean Seafood Village...Just nearby Plaza Warisan...Quite expensive but it's worth it...Masuk-masuk dalam restoran ni, macam berada kat dalam filem Nemo...So many varities of sea creatures (minus the Shark la)...Still swimming happily in the tanks...Just choose what you want to eat and how you want them to be cooked...No worries, they will suggest to you how they should be cooked...Trust them...Memang sedap!!!!...And of course, Halal...Lepas makan sampai zip seluaq pun nak koyak, time to look at the bill...Well, you have to expect RM300 or more...Hehehehehehe...But trust me, it's worth it...Nama pun holiday kan...Takkan time holiday nak pekin-pekin gak...

Still swimming happily in the tanks

Well, that's it for Day 1 in KK...Tomorrow's gonna be another beautiful day in KK...
